About Us

 

Dr. Richard Hays was raised in Palm Beach County.  He attended The Johns Hopkins University and the University of Florida College of Medicine.  He completed a three-year family medicine residency  at Duke University before entering practice in 1986.  He has served as Chief of Staff at Palm Beach Regional Medical Center and Wellington Regional Medical Center and President of the Florida Academy of Family Physicians.  He has special interest in the care of patients with diabetes.  He was also chosen as the 2010 Florida Family Physician of the Year.

Dr. Monica Brown is a California native who studied psychology at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. She then attended medical school at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale and has been a Florida resident ever since. She has been a member of the Wellington family since 2013 and enjoys forming lasting relationships with her patients and teaching them about the benefits of healthy living.  She prides herself on being a community-trained, primary care physician.  When she is not working, Dr. Brown enjoys spending time with her family and friends, attending sporting events, traveling, and interior designing.

Dr. Emily Harrison was born and raised in New Jersey.  She earned her bachelor’s degree and medical degree through a combined degree program at Rutgers University and Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. She completed a Family Medicine Residency Program at Hunterdon Medical Center (an affiliate of Rutgers- Robert Wood Johnson Medical School) where she served as chief resident.  Prior to joining Dr. Hays' practice, Dr. Harrison practiced at One Medical Group in Washington, DC and Tucson Medical Center One Medical Group in Tucson, AZ. Dr. Harrison has a passion for preventive medicine focusing on lifestyle modifications to help treat and prevent disease. She focuses on educating patients on their health and setting personal goals to improve their health. She enjoys getting to know her patients as individuals, and understanding psycho-social factors that may be contributing to patients’ health concerns.


Andrea Brockman PA-C has been  practicing in Family Medicine since 2010 and joined the practice in March 2012.  She was born and raised in South Florida and completed her undergraduate degree at Florida Atlantic University, and graduated from the Physician Assistant Program at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale.  She loves spending time with her family, friends, and her dog, and going to the beach, the park, watching movies, and staying active.  Her clinical focus is care of patients with chronic diseases.
Sabrina Lewis,FNP-C was born in New York and raised in South Florida. She attended the University of Florida, earning her bachelor’s degree in psychology. While at UF, she completed a training program for crisis intervention and suicide prevention. After graduating from UF, she attended Florida Atlantic University and received her Bachelors of Nursing degree. She worked at Wellington Regional Medical center for over 4 years as a registered nurse managing stroke and cardiac patients.  She went on to earn her Master’s degree in advanced nursing practice and joined our practice in June 2015.  Her priority is providing comprehensive, compassionate care for patients and families as a whole.  Outside work, she loves to travel and to spend time with her family, friends and her dog.

Estefanie Penafiel, PA-C    joined the practice in February 2016. She was born in Ecuador and moved  to Florida over 20 years ago. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science and practiced as a Clinical Lab Scientist for over 4 years. In 2015, she graduated from Barry University Physician Assistant Program with a Master’s degree in Clinical Medical Science. She loves to travel, participate in adrenaline-filled adventures, and spend time with her family and friends.She is fluent in both English and Spanish.
